I did and it failed. I got Billycar’s flash for the drive, i did it but then it didn’t rip the uhd movie.


It's a good idea to always include relevant info (flashed it. tried UHD. failed.) in the original post...

Hello,
I'm new to this forum and have a Pioneer BDR-XD05B drive, manufactured in August 2016. I was wondering if this drive is flashable for UHD? If it is, after the PM is sent, what do I do? Do I use the SDFTool Flasher? But then what file from "The All You Need Firmware" do I choose? Any help ...

a drive below $100 is almost impossible to find now as they have been ut of production for over a year all the pioneers and lg stopped a few months ago too

i still have some xd08 if you want one but over $100 but still half the price of the ebay ones


Just a little out of my price range ...

Ahh it seems that those are listed as $75 and $80 on Pioneer website but are not longer made, would you recommend any others that would be less than $100 that would just need to be flashed?

Hello, I just started looking into NAS storage units since I just got out of college and don't really have the money to spend on subscriptions. I want to have my own media collection to where I can have my DVDs, blu-ray, and 4K UHD movies digitally copied. I am new and not really understanding ...

The main work to support Pioneer drives is done. MakeMKV should work with most Pioneer drives in LibreDrive mode. All drives starting from BDR-208 should be (eventually) supported, including rebranded ASUS/Optiarc/Verbatim clones.

This can be checked by drive platform:
RS1xxx - old firmware ...
