Re: New hardware not able to read 4k
So what's the error? Paste the log window text. Sorry, when I said error, I meant the no disk thing, there is no error in the log. Post the text for your MakeMKV drive info and libredrive info sections. Alway insert the disc and wait for the OS to initialise it first (it can then be seen in windows...

Re: New hardware not able to read 4k
I just switched to all AMD so I can have better SteamOS/Linux compatibility for when Microsoft forces us to ditch Windows 10 lol. Thanks for the help though even if it didn't work, I still really appreciate you taking time to trying to help me. I'll probably end up rebuilding my old PC in a new case...

Re: New hardware not able to read 4k
I have used the drive before and have successfully ripped several films, it's a bp50n40 (SVC NB50) flashed with custom firmware, it did work on my computer previously and it can still read/rip non 4k blu rays normally. I don't have another computer that I could easily test on. I'm swapping from Inte...

New hardware not able to read 4k
I recently upgraded my computer (CPU, GPU, Mobo) and have tried ripping a 4k movie, but no 4k disc will be read by Windows or MakeMKV, regular blu rays work fine with Windows and MakeMKV so I don't know why this would happen. I tried changing the permissions of the drive, but that didn't work. Drive...
