Thanks for the interest, and the caution. I didn't realize this drive was such a rarity/oddity. Overall, it works well enough, but some things about it make me shake my head. Just now it refused to recognize a regular old Blu-Ray disc. ARGH!

Thanks for the reply, but I did mean what I said. This drive recognizes and rips UHD discs. My process is to make an MakeMKV backup of the discs and then rip from the backups, but for this I made a point to also rip directly from the disk.
