I've tried cleaning the BD.
The couple things you suggested:
-- If it fails in the same place every time, that's likely a media issue and likely cannot be worked around or fixed.
--Try to slow down the write speed.

I found an old thread on this, but no resolution for it. I'm new here.
I'm trying with the newest version of makemkv. Here's my errors. I know I have to do more searching for what/why, etc. Here's my errors:

Error 'Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR:L-EC UNCORRECTABLE ERROR' occurred while reading '/BDMV ...

Hi. Did you ever resolve this? I have the same disc and am trying. Obviously, much newer version of makemkv, but BD of same movie.
