Re: Direct video streaming
Sorry to bump a really old thread... I can get streaming to work if I go to a specific stream, like http://localhost:51000/stream/title0.ts. But I can't get it to work by just going to http://localhost:51000. It sounds like I should be able to access all titles from here. I'm using VLC, and it just ...

Re: Batman Begins file size
Thanks! It just seemed too small to be lossless.

Re: Batman Begins file size
Yes to both. Run time is correct and I have the Dolby TrueHD sound track. I did uncheck the core DD sound track. Could that account for the difference?

Batman Begins file size
Can any other Batman Begins owners please confirm the size of their lossless rip using MakeMKV? I stripped out everything except the Dolby TrueHD track and English subtitles. If I'm doing my math correctly (and the information here is correct http://www.avsforum.com/t/1155731/new-unofficial-blu-ray-...

set subtitle flag to default = no
Is there a way to always make subtitles have the default flag set to no? Currently, all of my rips set the default flag to yes, which means subtitles are always on in my player and I have to turn them off. These are just normal non-forced subtitles. I can easily change the flag in the header editor ...

Re: makemkv vs. eac3to -- different sized video streams?
Thanks Mike. I'm far from an expert on zero-padding, but the way I understand it, shouldn't the size of the file remain identical?

Nothing? I wonder if this is an issue on my end. Has nobody noticed this before?

Re: makemkv vs. eac3to -- different sized video streams?
Also, thinking it was maybe something to do with the header, I even set header compression to "none" in MKVMerge with no effect on any streams after I extracted them again using MKVExtract.

Re: Love to see chapters start 1 instead of 0
+1....Blu rays all start at 00 for me too. It's strange to see because I play my MKVs on a Popcorn Hour, which temporarily displays the chapter number on the screen when I manually skip to a different chapter in a movie, and this display and what the MKV says the chapter is is always off by one. Th...

makemkv vs. eac3to -- different sized video streams?
To make a long story short... my AnyDVD subscription is up and I'm trying to decide whether to renew it or buy MakeMKV... basically MakeMKV vs. AnyDVD/eac3to/MKVMerge. Anyway... I've been doing some experimenting. If I rip using MakeMKV and then demux with MKVExtract, the video stream is always smal...

Re: MKVextract question (not sure if this is the right forum
Check out this thread . Thanks for the link. I don't think that's related to my problem, but it might just be that I'm not familiar with handbrake. My problem is that MakeMKV is creating subtitle tracks for forced subs even when the disc does not have forced subs. And for some reason, that makes MK...

Re: MKVextract question (not sure if this is the right forum
I did some testing tonight... In MakeMKV if I check all of the English subs and forced subs, MKVExtract cannot extract all of the subs. And MKVExtract shows the English subs plus the empty subs (this movie had no forced subs). For example, this particular movie had 5 English subs. In MKVExtract, it ...
