Re: Pioneer DVR-XD09 (fw 1.05) not detected
Tried to do an SDF stop for the drive, but the drive doesn't even get far enough to show an ID in the log. Any other way to get the full ID?
Yes, I can watch DVDs using the drive in VLC on Debian and Win11.

Pioneer DVR-XD09 (fw 1.05) not detected
MakeMKV reports no usable optical drives with the Pioneer DVR-XD09. Reproduced on two separate DVR-XD09 units, on two different PCs, under both Windows 11 and Debian 13.6. Another Pioneer Blu-ray drive on the same Debian system works normally. I've also tried two different USB Y-cables so I'm sure ...

Re: makemkv skips files in complete backup
I'm also wondering, does changing the default track selection have any impact on backups? Just a thought. It seems like .zips, .pdf, etc are skipped. I don't see any flags mentioned in the forums to include those file types in default track selections.

Burn backup folder to disc
If you create an ISO of a decrypted MakeMKV backup folder and burn it to disc, does it simply play like the original disc in a DVD or bluray player?
Also, when creating the ISO do you need to make any special considerations? Will a 9660/joliet ISO work? I see a lot of discussion about using ImgBurn ...

Re: Order of audio tracks
Got it, thank you very much for the thoughtful explanations, dcoke22!
After playing around with the backups, .mpls, and .m2ts, I think I understand how it all fits together. I hadn't dug deep under the hood until now.

Re: Order of audio tracks
Clicking on the feature title in one of my backups, I'm seeing it links to a .mpls, not a .m2ts.
Even if it did show the correct .m2ts, how does opening the .m2ts in VLC help me know with certainty the audio track order in the MakeMKV left hand selection tree?

Re: Order of audio tracks
I'm interested in the listed order, because as far as I know listening to the tracks in VLC and comparing it back to MakeMKV is the only way to know which tracks are what.
So, you got to my actual question of how do you know which tracks to rip when selecting them in MakeMKV? Right now, I rip all ...

Bumping this in case anyone learned the answer in the last five years. I sent an email to support in the hopes Mike would answer, but haven't heard back.

Order of audio tracks
While sorting through audio tracks, I have always operated under the assumption that they are listed in the same order, from top to bottom, in MakeMKV, MKVToolNix, and VLC. I've never noticed this not being the case, but I'm unable to find confirmation that this is indeed always true. If they are ...
