I will dump my existing OEM firmware, verify its there, then flash this one:
DE_LG_WH16NS60_1.02_MK.bin ?
EDIT: I performed the above flash. Now drive is immediately recognized and rips fast anything I have thrown at it. Pre-flash, makemkv would lock up on the scan start.

So I think I got the same drive. I ordered the buffalo drive as a replacement for an old one that bit the dust.
