I use Manjaro XFCE and MakeMKV 1.18.4-1

Edit: Okay. It seems to have something to do with ffmpeg 2:9.0-5 ...

Unplug the drive.

Open a terminal and execute: Let the terminal open and leave dmesg running.

Now plug-in the drive.

Check the terminal for appearing messages regardin usb.

That means nothing. We would need to see the drive platform info from MakeMKV but I'm 99% sure that ...

Did you check the hashes of those files?

Also, as kop316 already told you, please make sure to properly extract them; execute this into the folder you downloaded the archives:

for t in *.gz; do tar -xvf "$t"; done

So... Any hope (or not ) for my drive to be flashed for UHD?

Looking for another Pioneer purchase...
I found a 2011 one... Before buying it I'd like to know if it compatible and can be flashed to enable UHD.
