Makes sense to me. Like I said, it's working just fine on Blu-rays, and it's never a bad thing to take some load off my UHD drives.

I read that article about old firmware, but as the drive itself was reporting "possible, not yet enabled" for LibreDrive, I thought perhaps I had missed something!

Let me start by saying I've already got two flashed drives that can read UHD disks, but this oldie is still working:

I had to reset gatekeeper to get 1.18.4 working, but I've observed this little quirk:

Otherwise it seems to be working just fine

UHD Steelbook didn't work for me on delivery day, but it does work now. This community rocks!

Just pick the one with chapters. Like you noticed, they are most likely identical besides that difference. This usually happens on discs that don't use seamless branching for the main feature: The one with chapters is the .mpls playlist file, while the one without is the raw .m2ts stream.

Ok, so I've gotten past the hard part of flashing drives and am now digging into my pile of disks.

One of the head scratchers I keep coming across is figuring out which title to rip:

Appreciate that. More than willing to pay (and will). The Purchasing website does have an option to enter a coupon code, which is what triggered the question.

Forgive me if this is blasphemous, but I'd love to both get registered and save a few bucks if I can. I've been checking the MakeMKV site and haven't seen anything yet in terms of a sale. Any idea if there is typically a sale this week, or should I just suck it up and pay retail?
