This long rip time was an anomaly. Through the rest of my collection, the 4k disks ripped in about 45 minutes, blu ray in half that and DVD in about of of that. Probably a matter of codecs needing to be loaded in the background or something.

It would be great if the default when ripping was to have no boxes checked instead of all boxes checked. I just ripped the Heredetary blu-ray and I kid you not, there had to be 200 copies of the same file. Had to uncheck each. Individual. Box.

I've been using Nero and it works just fine. Won't burn 4k and their UI is hella dated and they're on a subscription model (boo!) but it worked.
