Re: SDFtool Flasher
Just flashed my BP50NB40 to the BU40N 1.00 firmware, using the SDF GUI tool in Win11 with instructions provided previously. Ezpz. Problem is, MakeMKV now reports "The program can't find any usable optical drives." WTF? after a power cycle, all seems to be well again. That was odd though. I...

Re: BP50NB40 Help please!!
I have two LG BP50NB40 drives that I purchased from Best Buy in the US in the last month. One is still in the box. I'm keeping it as a standby, in case I brick the first one while flashing it for LibreDrive capability. Or in case I need another drive some day. It seems the good, LibreDrive-able/UHD-...

The Greatest Showman: no menus
I have the dual-disc issue of The Greatest Showman (both DVD and Blu-ray discs), but only the DVD can be backed up into an image that works as usual. Drive is a brand new LG BP50NB40. It reports no errors in making the backup. Open the backup folder in VLC Media Player as a Blu-ray disc however, and...

Re: Wonder Woman (2017)
it doesn't always fail at the exact same spot, but it often does. It's always the same 2 files (00307.m2ts and 00296.m2ts) that are the problem.
None of the other things apply, so it must be the disc is too scratched for a good read.

Wonder Woman (2017)
Has anyone had success backing up the subject Blu-Ray? Every time I try, I get these errors: MakeMKV v1.18.2 win(x64-release) started Backing up disc into folder "<path_for_backup>" Evaluation version, 26 day(s) out of 30 remaining Loaded content hash table, will verify integrity of M2TS f...

Re: WP50NB40
I notice it's only got a USB 2.0 interface. Does this limit the performance of the drive when ripping?

Re: WP50NB40
Would this drive be adequate for backing up a collection of non-UHD Blu-ray discs? We want to do that, format shift around 100 and that's it. No UHD discs in our future. Yes, I know Pioneer drives are better, but they're also much more expensive. Thanks!
