Yeah celaning didn't helped at all. I just got a new one for the red laser part (ASUS SDRW-08U9M). It works out of the box but throws some region not matching errors before it finaly opens the conten't. I searched through the forum but since it's not part of the drivers in the guide there is no patc...

Hey so for Blurays as mentioned its fine atm and i rip them.
The DVDs can be found but after clicking they die while the openeing process.
With CDs you mean like MP3? I also did not test if i can just play dvds but not rip them tbh.

BU40N can't rip DVDs but all Blurays
Hello, my BU40N is not able to rip any dvds. Even new ones that where never touched just fail in the opening process. Any ideas why this could happen?
