Or you can go simple: Shove the drive as far back in the OWC case as you can, and then put a piece of 3M VHB double-sided tape at the back and stick the drive to the bottom of the case. Securely held, but minimizes the protuberance. Don't use too big a piece of VHB or you'll never get the drive out ...

I also got flashers from Billy for a Pioneer BDR-209D and a BDR-212D. Both went smoothly and both drives are now UHD-aware friendly drives. Both started with older firmware (the 212D was v1.02), so I suspect that helped enable the process.
