Re: UHD Enabled Drives (Australia, NZ & Singapore among others!) & DIY "Single Drive Flasher UI" available worldwide!!
Opps. I was of course talking about the optical slim drives. But now I thought about something, I wonder if the BDR-UD03 and BDR-UD04 they have for sale on Ebay could be fake drives ? They could just put a sticker on it that is a copy, sell it like a Pioneer but a different brand. And also the could...

Late reply but there are people on Ebay UK selling the Verbatim drive, but perhaps you already know that.

Will there be any exception for shipping outside USA now that you are selling the last batch of Pioneer drives ?

Hi MartyMcNuts. In case you don't know there seems to be plenty of 5.25 BDR-UD04 and BDR-UD03 for sale on Ebay, most are China. I think you can patch these drives and sell them as is. Or if you want, find good a good external USB3 5.25 optical slim case. Hard to know what case is good as it depends ...

Re: Forum offline?
Any update on this issue. I too have noticed that the forum almost at random crawls and you get timeout and then suddenly is responsive. Is there something that can be done about that. Of course upgrading the hardware etc will make it more snappy but it seems strange that the forum would timeout at ...

Re: UHD capable drive - UK based
Yes, you can flash some drives on your own. There is plenty of information here on the forums and you can get help from other users. They also offer flashing help where you pay some money and (I guess) they send you what you need with instructions on what to do etc. The issue now is getting hold of ...

Re: UHD capable drive - UK based
As I was crawling on ebay a lot the last two days I have this information for you. The Verbatim 43888 drive is on sale from a user called "ultrahd-drives" on ebay (UK) site. That drive is pre-patched and works for UHD ripping, looks like they are asking 275£ for a unit. This is external sl...

Re: New Person Looking For A Blu Ray Optical Drive
@MartyMcNuts I hope you can help me out. I am also looking for a bluray burner. I have no interest in ripping UHD but I do want to make backups to DVDs (have some) and BluRay discs. Personal data like pictures, videos etc. At the moment I use mechanical hard drive as it is flexible and works OK but ...

Re: Ebay Drives How Do You Spot a Fake
The issue is that even though it could look like they are selling a genuine drive you don't know if they post real pictures. I have done some research into this and it seems that multiple users have drives for sale but they use the same pictures etc. Almost all sellers are from China and if you look...

Advice on new Pioneer optical drive purchase
I know that Pioneer have ceased production and I want to buy a Pioneer drive because I have used them in the past. I will have to buy from Ebay and most of the driver are located in China. Somewhere in the forums there was talk about fake devices but I am unsure of how you know if a unit is genuine ...

Re: No more bluray burners available?
For now you will have to get a "second hand" one or "new" old stock that is not sold out. Seems there is some old stock left and they sell them on e-bay. You can probably get them else, don't ask me because I don't know. Looking back at things I believe that the only product left...
