Help getting blu-ray menus working

I've been working on this problem for a few days so far and I've made no progress.

OS is manjaro linux (arch based)

VLC media player 3.0.21 Vetinari (revision 3.0.21-0-gdd8bfdbabe8)
Makemkv 1.18.2 (compiled from source because linux; installed to /usr/bin)
libmmbd is in /usr/lib natively and is ...

Re: Warped Blu-ray plastic

There is what I do when I get a big boxed set from Amazon that has a bad disc. I order a replacement and when it arrives, I swap out the bad discs for the new ones, re-scan them, and send the bad set back. You have a month to return an item. Take advantage of it. I'll even swap the box or cases if ...

Warped Blu-ray plastic

While ripping the blu-rays of a box set for a TV series (TNG, spread over like 32 discs) I noticed one rubbing. I got it out of the drive ASAP and think I avoided damage, but when I checked, the disc itself is warped in one spot. Almost like a finger pressed down on it in the factory while it was ...

Is this defect rate normal?!

To date, I've bought 6 UHD movies via scam-a-zon and all were sold as 'new' from amazon.com directly. No 3rd parties involved, no used inventory. Of the 6 disks, 2 have had scratches that make the disk unreadable. Also, one of the normal blu-rays had a scratch that made it unreadable. They were all ...

Ah, that's what that button does. I thought it was the same as another button. Thanks! That looks like what I was after!

Best way to make ISO?

I'm rebuilding my movie collection. I already have a drive and firmware that lets me rip 4k disks. What I want to know is if there is a good way to make an ISO of the entire disk, or if that is not feasible for some reason. Specifically, here is what I'm doing:

Get original media
'Get raw dump ...

https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=182475#p182475 <--that was the answer I was looking for. As for 'duplicate posts', well, that's what happens when posts disappear into a moderator queue for an unknown amount of time. People who are looking for an answer ask in more than one way to see ...

Re: Flashing LG model BP50NB40-NB52 - A Guide

Bro, thank you SO much for this. IDK when you'll see my reply as new accounts go into the moderator queue, but this is EXACTLY what I needed.

makeMKV 1.18.1 works for most things, but it did indeed sit at 100% CPU time with the makemkvcon -f commands. Thankfully, this didn't hurt anything it seems ...

I had made this post into its own thread, but apparently new accounts go into moderator approval, and the one mod that is still active was last online 2 days ago...so...ima try posting it here and see if anyone sees it.

Sanity Check for BP50NB40

Recently bought a BP50NB40. It's NB52 and was built in May of 2025. I am on linux (arch). I use the linux version of makemkv 1.18.1. I'd really prefer not to have to create a windows VM if I can avoid it.

From browsing guides and threads, it looks like what I need to do to get UHD ripping working ...
