I have done this, each step reports success, but the firmware reported in the window in flasher never changes. I go all the way to the end, and it still reads blurays, but not UHD.

Thanks very much!. On the first step, it successfully writes the bp50nb40-1.03mk firmware. When completed, the firmware shows as having been unchanged. The original firmware is there.

Yes, US folks are kinda SOL. I cannot get a WP50 flashed, and there does not seem to be much info on it. I was going to return it and buy something here, but not sure that is an option either...
