Thank you for your reply. I flashed it myself, my mistake, thinking I need to stay on top of all updates. I hadn't realised that the firmware couldn't be erased and another firmware installed. Most things on a computer can be erased and you can start again. I'll be more cautious with firmware ...

For UHD you should try to get a Pioneer and see if you can get it flashed to Libre.

So i have a BH16NS55 which i have flashed (connected directly to SATA and power) and works.
But since my Case doesn't support a drive bay i want to connect the drive via USB, its a pain every time to take the back of the case out and connect the drive.

I assume you mean a UHD disk didn't work since you say the CD did rip successfully.
Your firmware is just a bit too new "Firmware date: 2022-12-27" to support UHD. But it should do BD, DVD,CD just fine.
