Re: LibreDrive for Pioneer drives
1. Pioneer drives cannot be flashed using MakeMKV's SDFtool. The Pioneer flashing tool is not publicly available. 2. Even if you can get LibreDrive enabled, it will not be able to read UHD discs as it is too old an incompatible. Got it. If possible, I'd be content to flash this into a regular, non-...

Re: Flashing Buffalo BRXL-PTV6U3-BK/N (2020 model from Japan)
You guys were right: it was a power issue. Tried connecting both drive cables to a 36W powered hub and now it works/rips as expected. I also changed the firmware as suggested: ./makemkvcon f -d BUFFALO_Optical_Drive_1.03_211810241934_MO5KCS83746 -f sdf.bin rawflash enc -i /Users/me/Downloads/All\ Yo...

Re: Flashing Buffalo BRXL-PTV6U3-BK/N (2020 model from Japan)
Thanks. I'll try again with a different powered hub and report back.
Is there some functional difference (i.e., higher speed) between BR drives need two USB cables vs. drives that only need one?

Re: Flashing Buffalo BRXL-PTV6U3-BK/N (2020 model from Japan)
Thanks. I tried two different powered hubs, but I still get "invalid destination port" errors from MakeMKV.
I think I must have eff'd up the flashing step.
For this drive, is the DE_Buffalo_BRUHD-PU3_BN12-MK.bin firmware the correct one to use?

Re: Flashing Buffalo BRXL-PTV6U3-BK/N (2020 model from Japan)
Power issue? I was wondering about that. Forgot to mention there is a LED on the rear top of the drive that flashes green slowly during mount, and then flashes red. Is that an indication there isn't enough power? EDIT: I tried a separate hub connected to a single USB-C port and now the LED on the r...

[SOLVED] Flashing Buffalo BRXL-PTV6U3-BK/N (2020 model from Japan)
Using this drive on a mac mini m4, I was unable to read BluRay discs using MakeMKV. Here are the drive specs: https://www.buffalo.jp/product/detail/brxl-ptv6u3-bk_n.html Since MakeMKV reported that LibreDrive was possible but not enabled, I tried flashing it. $ /Applications/MakeMKV.app/Contents/Mac...
